Jason Spencer

Jason is a Lead Level Designer with experience in various games. At Virtuos, he manages several designers for AAA game co-development and outsourcing projects for well-known IPs and video game publishers and studios. He has designed and created levels for multiple game genres, including single-player and multiplayer first-person shooters (FPS), third-person platforming action adventures, and massively multiplayer online games(MMO). In addition, his work has given him experience in developing PC and Console games.

What I Do

Level Design

With over 20 years of experience, I will tackle level design for any game genre. Paper design, 2D layouts, block-outs, basic scripting, and visual scripting are all a part of the process. Cross-discipline communication and cooperation both play significant roles in my level design processes.

Mentoring and Training

I mentor team members daily to create a solid and effective team. I also create training courses and syllabuses to teach new students level design fundamentals.

Management

I coordinate and provide administration of tasks to my teams so that we achieve our goals. Ensure that teams have the tools and knowledge to accomplish those tasks promptly.
